I am a painter of landscapes and cityscapes. I like to work quickly, with brushes and pallet knives, to capture the turbulence and unruliness of the built and natural environments.
In fifteen years as a landscape architect, harnessing, moulding and cajoling open space to behave has been my objective. As a painter, how to translate to canvas it's refusal to do so. An altogether different challenge with the same raw material.

I am a painter and practicing Landscape Architect based in the Chinatown section of New York City.
I was born in Castlebar in the West of Ireland in 1973. From 1992 to 1997 I studied Landscape architecture at Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK.
Since 1999, I have lived in New York City and have worked continuously as a Landscape Architect in this time
Over time I've I have tried to allow the influence of my landscape architectural background be come part of my work. In these
In 2010 I began contributing football related paintings and drawings to UK based Manchester United Fanzine, Red News. This presented the opportunity to combine two life long passions.
