This one is a recently finished commission. The basic composition was spotted in a sketch of mine and I was asked to blow it up to cover a large wall. It's a superb challenge to paint at this scale, believe it or not the adrenaline is flowing, paint is not acting how you imagined, chance comes into play.. That toughest part was figuring out when to leave it alone.
5'x8' Acrylic on canvas.

A recent painting for Red News. My take on the Holy Trinity statue outside Old Trafford.
24"x36" Acrylic on canvas.
Another square, multi-canvas take on the sodden landscape of the west of Ireland. Orange tinged grasses flank opaque, peat infused lakes. Ghost ridges from previous renditions of this scene add texture and some depth to the piece.
20"x20" Acrylic on canvas.
Further experimentation with red, white and black paint - painted quickly with knives..

A painting I have reworked several times, I think it's finally finished. Inspired by the landscape of Burgandy in France.
The underpainting was done with brushes, but most of what you see here was applied with palette knives.
